Event Traffic Management Operative

 * You do not need any previous experience in Traffic Management for this role. *

 

 We provide traffic services at events such as horse racing, music festivals and football matches across the UK.

We provide full training including the opportunity to obtain nationally recognised qualifications in safety including:


·         Level 3 First Aid at Work

·         Level 3 Risk Assessing

·         Level 3 Health and Safety Management

·         Level 3 Management Qualification

·         NHSS 12D Traffic Management Licence (Lantra M1/M2/M3/M6).

 

 

About this role

This exciting role involves helping us deliver Temporary Traffic Management Schemes for a range of clients ranging from the utilities sector to the event industry. You will help our team prepare, install, maintain and remove such TTM schemes whilst maintaining a high Health and Safety standard.

This role requires flexibility due to the nature of the business. You must be able to work both days and nights, including some weekends as required. You must have a can do and responsible attitude to work.


What we expect

 

✅ Oversee all methods of traffic management; Give and take, Priority, Stop/Go boards, Portable traffic signals, Road closures, Lane closures and diversions

✅ Make sure all work is carried out according to safe working methods and best practice procedures

✅ Carry out risk assessments and method statements on works involving traffic management

✅ Ensure that all activities associated with the job are carried out according to laid down procedures where possible.

✅ Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out to ensure cleanliness and tidiness of vehicle and the safety of the driver and passenger

✅ Promote positive company image whilst at work (via wearing of company clothing, attitude, and site cleanliness)

✅ Demonstrate initiative by constantly looking to see where improvements can be made

✅ Be happy to assist the public, directing them through safe site lines when required

✅ Ascertain when management intervention is required

✅ Work within the industry codes of practice and legal requirements (TSRGD, Chapter 8 etc)


Preferred Skills

1.       Events Experience

2.       Traffic Management experience

3.       Full UK Driving License and be aged 23+


Salary & Benefits

 Salary : £14.50 p/h

This is a casual / part time position with the option to change to a Full-Time role once experienced.
